Welcome to our new On FOCUS blog!  We’re opening the mics to start discussion around the challenges you face in determining how or if MEDITECH’s migration to the next HCIS impacts you.  We’ll examine the role current and future applications play in your decisions.  Like you, we’re finding tons of information is available around the general topics facing healthcare IT professionals today but we want this blog to be focused (forgive the pun!) around what you, the MEDITECH user, find most pressing.

Social media is certainly the buzzword today and we’ve taken the plunge with this blog.  We don’t want to just talk to ourselves though; we encourage you to be active participants.  Our mission is quite simple, to help you work more effectively – and the best way to do that is to not just speak but to listen.  That’s the beauty of social media!

Our bloggers range from our CEO and President Joel Berman and Vice President of Software Applications Frank Fortner, to Michelle Schneider and Janet Clarke, both highly credentialed and experienced Registered Nurses and Nursing Informaticists .  Here’s the real beauty for you; our posters are all people who understand what it’s like to walk in your shoes – they’ve been there.

If you know Joel Berman you know you aren’t going to get ‘marketing speak’ from him, you’re going to get the real scoop and the full breadth of his experience in this industry.  Frank is a walking wiki of technical knowledge and Michelle and Janet  always speak from a nursing perspective.  I often wonder if they sit at their desks with their nursing cap on.

This all adds up to an exciting and valuable venue for you to share and gather information.  I encourage you to pick up the figurative microphone and tell us what’s on your mind.  Let’s put these bloggers to work!
